On Friday we returned to Rochdale Sixth Form College to run Employability Skills Talks to their Y13 students, ahead of their mock interviews, The day was led by Rubbi Bhogal-Wood who really enjoyed returning and seeing some of her former students from last year and hear how they had been putting their LinkedIn skills to work after a social media session.
This time Rubbi ran 6x45min repeated talks on Employability Skills covering things like cv skills, interview skills, job search, as well as mindset motivation and resilience. Rubbi said “Over the course of the day, I had the chance to speak with approx 900 young people in Year 13. We had some great discussions about employability skills and how they could best prepare themselves for their upcoming mock interviews, and real ones thereafter. Some of the young people approached me for 1:1 advice after each session.”
