On Monday we returned to Rochdale Sixth Form College and Laura Ness ran a day of repeated talks on Progression Pathways for their Y12 students looking at all pathways and introducing work experience week taking place in June 2026.
Laura covered :

• How apprenticeships work and the levels you can start at
• Options for going straight into employment, including in-house and sector-specific training
• Gap years: what they are and how to make them purposeful
• The role and importance of work experience in shaping future choices
• How to stay open-minded and explore pathways you may not have considered
• Support available locally
• The next steps you should take to start planning your future
