Yesterday we had the pleasure of visiting Ratcliffe College to deliver two in person talks in the afternoon. Laura Ness led the talk for their Y10’s on progression pathways, and Amy Atkinson worked with their Y8’s delivering our Becoming an Entrepreneur Talk.
Both speakers had a great time with Laura saying “Great welcome by Kate Grace (Assistant Head) who gave an outline of the set up for the afternoon. Session was to be part of a wider Careers/PSHE afternoon. All materials set up and ready to go in the room. Made to feel very welcome!
Students were well behaved, interested and engaged in the session. They already had some understanding of apprenticeships and were happy to share that knowledge. Allowed me to fill gaps, clarify understanding and make sure they had all the information needed for their next steps. Great timing for session in Year 10 with really practical steps for them to take now!”
Amy worked with their Y8’s and said “today was excellent! students were SO engaged and asked lots of questions!”
Sounds like a wonderful afternoon, thanks for having us!
